Can livestock manure be recycled?

We're emptying the cow manure out of the lagoon on the dairy farm and spreading it on the fields.

Let me suggest a different approach. Why don't we create protein AND fertilizer from this? The protein can be fed BACK to chickens that then create MORE fertilizer.
